Usability testing - Satisfaction measurement (SUS)

Understanding how users feel about a design proposal is a key factor in the triangulation of data we need from a usability test, alongside efficiency and efficacy. The System Usability Scale (SUS) is a well researched and established tool for measuring satisfaction at the end of a usability test.

To perform the test direct your participants to a form and have them answer 10 questions on a five point scale.

For many years I have used the following google form to collect responses and then this SUS scoring sheet to calculate the results. What’s great about this system is you can link the results directly from the form to the sheet and into the calculator. (if your company uses google suite that is!)
